The Procurement and Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager is a highly experienced and strategically oriented individual. This senior leadership role has responsibility to oversee the strategic sourcing & category management processes, manage complex procurement activities, and develop and implement cost‑saving strategies. Responsible for building and maintaining long‑term, mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers while leading and mentoring a high‑performing team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, supplier relationship management (SRM), and leadership to drive process improvements and contribute to the company’s overall success.
Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Preferred: Master’s Degree
Preferred: Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba, GEP, Coupa) and Microsoft Office Suite. Professional certifications are a plus (APICS, NCMA, ISM, etc.).
Required: A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
Required: 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Required: Expertise in supplier relationship management (SRM), including developing and maintaining strong supplier partnerships and managing supplier performance. Deep knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing methodologies, and supplier management. Extensive experience leading complex procurement processes, negotiating high‑value contracts, and achieving favorable terms. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams effectively. Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data‑driven decisions and identify opportunities for process optimization. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional environment and manage multiple priorities with a strategic focus.

Team members are required to participate in the response/recovery activities related to emergencies/disasters to maintain service to our Tampa Electric customers.
