Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented contracts support professional to assist the Business Development Department in Goleta, CA with order management, contract administration and proposal preparation.

Under the supervision of the Director of Business Development, you will coordinate with operations, engineering, and finance to respond to inquiries, prepare contractual documents, enter data in Oracle ERP and ensure FAR/DFAR compliance and ITAR controls.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business or related education and experience.
Order management and order book analysis.
A minimum of two years' experience in Contract Administration of commercial and/or government contracts.
Familiarity with basic contract law and standard legal forms – strongly desired.
Experience with FAR/DFAR compliance and obligations.
Experience filing Export license and other documents with DDTC & BIS.
Experience with Oracle ERP system preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage backlog of orders to ensure accurate reporting of shipment dates and factory planning.
Provide responses to customer inquiries and prepare for meetings with internal teams.
Prepare and administer contractual documents to sustain business relationships and ensure compliance.
Prepare and submit proposals and re-quotes, applying FAR/DFAR flow down.
Interface with customer personnel and internal departments daily.
Assist with Export admin and licensing per ITAR/EAR regulations.
Enter data into the Oracle ERP System, including sales orders and quotes.
Review contractual documents for adherence to policy and master agreements.
Assist Finance in resolving invoicing issues related to contracts.
