Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. in Plano, TX, seeks a Senior Manager of Contracts and Proposals to lead end-to-end responses (RFI, RFP, RFQ) and manage the contract lifecycle from due diligence through negotiation and execution.

The role requires deep knowledge of contract law and regulatory matters, strong cross-functional leadership across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Compliance, and the ability to build scalable templates and processes for the contracting function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field required; JD/MBA preferred.
• 8–10+ years in contracts management or proposals.
• Proven experience in RFI/RFP/RFQ processes and cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of contract law and regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development and submission of formal and informal proposal responses (RFI, RFP, RFQ).
• Manage all phases of the contract lifecycle—from due diligence to negotiation, execution, and handoff.
• Establish, document, and improve standardized processes for proposal development and contract management.
• Identify contractual risks and communicate implications to senior leadership with actionable recommendations.
• Serve as liaison between Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Product teams.
• Guide negotiations with customers, applying contract law and regulatory requirements to protect Samsung's interests.
• Partner with Finance to develop cost breakdowns and financial summaries for proposed agreements.
• Create and govern a library of contract templates and boilerplates to improve efficiency.
• Lead and develop the Contracts and Proposals team to perform at a high level across engagements.
• Maintain current understanding of contract law and industry regulations to mitigate risk.
