Job summary

Samsung Electronics America is seeking a Senior Manager of Contracts and Proposals to be based in Plano, Texas. The role leads proposal responses and contract management across Sales, Legal, Finance, and Product teams, ensuring timely, accurate submissions and risk-aware decisions.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with the full contract lifecycle, regulated industries, and a proven ability to mentor teams while aligning business objectives with Samsung's standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or related field; JD/MBA preferred.
• 8–10 years of progressive experience in contracts management, proposal development, or a related field
• Knowledge of contract law, regulatory requirements
• Experience managing full contract lifecycle: drafting, negotiation, execution
• Proven success leading RFI/RFP/RFQ responses in a corporate/tech environment
• Cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Compliance

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development and submission of formal and informal proposal responses (RFI, RFP, RFQ).
• Manage all phases of the contract lifecycle from review to handoff and execution.
• Establish and improve standardized processes, workflows, and controls for proposals and contract management.
• Identify risks, communicate implications to senior leadership, and provide recommendations.
• Serve as liaison between Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Product teams.
• Guide negotiations with customers and external parties to protect Samsung’s interests.
• Partner with Finance to develop cost breakdowns and revenue estimates.
• Create and govern contract templates, SOWs, boilerplates, and digital tools.
• Lead and develop the Contracts and Proposals team.
• Maintain current knowledge of contract law, regulations, and compliance
