Job summary

Capital One seeks a Manager, Contract Manager to join the Enterprise Supplier Management team. You will autonomously draft and negotiate agreements, coordinating with business units, legal and data security to capture business value while mitigating risk.

In a fast-paced procurement environment, you will lead negotiations, strategize deal execution, and manage multiple contracts end-to-end. Limited travel may be required and performance incentives may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Military experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in drafting, evaluating, negotiating and executing procurement contracts.
• Preferred: Juris Doctorate.
• Preferred: 5+ years of experience drafting, evaluating, negotiating and executing procurement contracts.
• Preferred: 5+ years of experience creating and executing contracting and negotiation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assessing transactions and creating deal strategies with business customers and internal stakeholders.
• Drafting and/or redlining contracts to protect Capital One from risk using best practices.
• Negotiating with suppliers to meet Capital One standards and business objectives.
• Managing multiple transactions independently and driving them to timely completion.
• Communicating with internal stakeholders including lines of business, legal, compliance and data security.
• Collaborating with the larger ESM team and other stakeholders as appropriate.
• Advising on ways to minimize contractual risk using Capital One policies.
