Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Manager, Counsel - Enterprise Supplier Management to manage procurement contracts and advise the ESM team. The role blends business and transactional counsel across Technology, Card, Retail and other lines of business, with a focus on drafting, negotiating, and guiding procurement terms.

The successful candidate will have a JD, active bar status, and at least 3 years in a relevant setting; 4+ years preferred.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
• Experience with third party procurement, vendor or outsourcing transactions.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate procurement transactions supporting multiple lines of business.
• Identify legal issues and risks in procurement/outsourcing contracts and draft terms.
• Advise on internal guidelines and procedures and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Manage outside counsel and coordinate delivery of services and costs.
• Provide training and reports on trends and metrics to senior leaders.
