Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Specialist, Contracts to manage government contracts, lead negotiations, and coordinate cross-functional teams for complex, classified programs. The role collaborates with program management and counsel to guide proposals, risk management, and execution while supporting strategic reviews and negotiations.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
• Experience with US Government (USG) contracts administration / management including proposals activity, cost structures, performance requirements, delivery schedules, terms & conditions
• Experience with FAR/DFARS or other US Government regulations

Responsibilities

• Provide contracts management of the development of government type proposals, negotiations, contractual agreements, contract execution, day-to-day administration
• Support senior management regarding contractual and business issues including advice on rights, obligations and risk mitigation
• Build relationships with leaders and customers, interfacing for correspondence, changes and issues
• Analyze RFPs, proposal reviews, contract negotiation, EAC reviews, support program management and executive reviews
• Develop and implement strategies to deal with complex issues requiring information gathering and analysis
