Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 4 years.
• Prior experience working with contracts.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate business terms for procurement contracts and amendments using templates provided by the Office of the General Counsel.
• Assist in developing and implementing contracting strategy, policy, and process improvements.
• Oversee administration of contracts, review submissions including red-lines, and route to the appropriate review queue.
• Oversee risk assessments to identify and address contract issues in a timely manner and advise on mitigation strategies.
• Consult with Office of General Counsel to ensure compliance with laws, policies, and approvals.
• Participate in competitive sourcing events and advise on claims or complaints during performance of contracts.
• Provide guidance and training on contracts, negotiations, and sourcing to FIU staff and contracting community.
• Manage the Public Records Request process and contract records retention.
