Job summary

Florida International University seeks a Procurement Agent 1 to join the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine team in Miami. You will serve as the primary contact for HWCOM vendors, process invoices and purchase orders, and help manage purchasing and accounts payable activities.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with years of experience or a Bachelor's degree with related experience; prior vendor and data entry experience preferred; operates in a fast-paced public university

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of related experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience, or 5 years of experience.
• Experience tracking data and processing invoices preferred.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the primary contact for HWCOM vendors and liaises to resolve invoice and PO issues.
• Assists with documentation for purchasing and accounts payable processes.
• Monitors finances, ensures timely invoice payments using various methods.
• Prepares, processes, and changes purchase orders and contracts as needed.
• Assists with contract review to ensure compliance with laws and policies.
• Reconciles expense transactions and maintains accurate records.
• Supports monthly status and closings reports.
• Supports supplier registration and makes purchasing recommendations.
