Job summary

Spotify seeks a Manager, Content Acquisition to drive deal execution from term sheets to final contracts, aligning with Legal, Finance, Studios, and partners. You will analyze budgets, assess opportunities, and manage multiple deals while ensuring accurate records and timely closes.

You will review production, licensing, and talent agreements, coordinate revisions, and prepare clear documentation for stakeholders. Based in LA or NYC, with flexible in-person and remote work options.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in entertainment, media, digital content, business affairs, content acquisition, or deal operations.
• Understand content licensing and production agreements and their commercial implications.
• Able to review term sheets and contracts with Legal to resolve issues.
• Manage multiple deals and deadlines with accurate record-keeping.
• Experience with financial analysis, budgets, or financial modeling; translate data into recommendations.
• Clear communicator; explain complex terms to colleagues from different areas.

Responsibilities

• Manage execution of original and licensed content deals from terms to contracts and close.
• Review and coordinate revisions to production, licensing, and talent agreements with Legal.
• Keep deals moving by tracking progress and coordinating with internal and external partners.
• Prepare deal documentation including term sheets, summaries, and stakeholder updates.
• Collaborate with Studios, Finance, Advertising, Partnerships, and Legal to finalize agreements.
• Support evaluation of new content opportunities via financial models and business cases.
• Monitor budgets and commitments, identify variances, and share insights for decisions.
• Build productive relationships with talent reps, production companies, and rights holders.
• Turn data into practical recommendations and communicate findings clearly.
