Job summary

Valcourt in Sarasota, FL seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee all aspects of construction projects, coordinate schedules, procure materials, and monitor progress from bid to closeout. You will read and interpret commercial plans, prepare comprehensive estimates, and ensure safety and OSHA compliance while leading the foreman and crew to meet owner expectations.

Must read and understand commercial plans, specs and details.
Proficient in Excel and Word; familiar with commercial estimating software.
Able to create a comprehensive estimate for a project.
Highly self-motivated and organized; able to multitask across pre-, bid, and post-project duties.
Commitment to building a culture of respect, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Manage projects to ensure scopes are completed per standards and profitably.
Operate and care for company equipment, vehicles, and small tools.
Communicate with owners and consulting engineers to create comprehensive bids.
Perform accurate take-offs and obtain current vendor pricing.
Ensure all materials and scope clarifications are communicated for the Foreman and crew.
