Job summary

Hoar Construction seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead designated client projects and tenant improvements, interfacing with client teams and project staff. You will monitor services and contracts, ensure profitability, and manage change orders, budgets, and schedules across all project phases.

You will prepare reports, assist with prequalification and bids, and help secure new opportunities while coordinating with owners and vendors. Travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture or related field; industry experience.
• Minimum 15 years of experience with significant owner-side involvement.
• Strong budgeting, accounting and procurement knowledge for construction projects.
• Proficiency in MS Office and scheduling software (Suretrak, Project, P6, Procore, Revit, VICO).
• LEED AP and CCM preferred; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Establish profitability goals and strategies; manage internal costs for profitability.
• Manage and administer Owner contracts; identify and manage risks daily.
• Prepare and coordinate project reports and drawings through all design phases.
• Support marketing and pursue new business opportunities; leverage client relationships.
• Oversee cost estimates, budgets, submittals, RFIs and change management.
• Lead meetings, set agendas, and maintain master budgets and timelines.
• Assist in bid qualification, RFP/RFQ responses, and selecting project delivery methods.
• Review change orders before sending to owner and stakeholders.
• Direct marketing and presentation of services; report major issues with recommendations.
• Oversee project closeout and documentation; ensure timely reporting to owner.
• Develop and review project cost estimates; monitor construction finances.
• Oversee work of assistant project managers and training.
• Prepare monthly status reports and cost projections; ensure proper coding of invoices.
