Job summary

Hoffman Construction Company is seeking a Purchasing Agent to join the in-office Portland team. You will build relationships with Trade Contractors, issue and manage RFPs, negotiate scopes of construction work, and draft contracts for successful bidders.

The role is fully in-office at our Portland Main Office, offering growth opportunities within a respected, project-driven construction group. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in construction related field, business administration, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Draft and issue RFPs for procurement.
• Participate in pre-bid and post-bid meetings.
• Manage bid package process and addenda.
• Receive and compare bids for cost and scope.
• Draft subcontracts, purchase agreements, and purchase orders.
• Support subcontracting community outreach.
• Provide internal support to project teams and operations.
