Job summary

Hoffman Construction Co of America is seeking a Purchasing Agent to work in the Seattle main office within the Purchasing department, reporting to the Purchasing Manager. The role focuses on building relationships with Trade Contractors, issuing and managing RFPs, negotiating scopes of construction work, and drafting contracts for successful bidders.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, a related Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience), and at least two years purchasing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in construction-related field or equivalent.
• At least two (2) years purchasing experience preferred, including understanding of Washington GC/CM bidding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Draft and issue RFP packages for procurement.
• Participate in pre-bid and post-bid meetings.
• Manage bid package processes, including advertise, issue addenda, and manage bid packages.
• Receive and compare bids for cost and scope.
• Draft and issue subcontracts, purchase agreements, and purchase orders.
• Attend and support subcontracting community outreach.
