Burnett Specialists Staffing | Recruiting is seeking a seasoned Construction CFO in Houston to lead all financial operations across its Houston portfolio. The role requires extensive experience in construction or real estate development, with expertise in job costing and project financing.

The CFO will guide budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and strategic planning, and will partner with the executive team on investments and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
• Prior CFO or senior finance leadership experience preferred.
• Must have construction or real estate development industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP, development pro formas, and project financing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all accounting and finance operations for Houston-based projects and entities.
• Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and capital funding strategies.
• Provide oversight of job costing, WIP schedules, cost controls, and project profitability analysis.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Partner with executive leadership on investment decisions, acquisitions, and development opportunities.
• Oversee audit, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and improve financial systems, internal controls, and operational efficiencies.
• Build, mentor, and lead the accounting/finance team.
