Burnett Staffing Specialists is seeking a strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead financial operations for its Houston construction and real estate portfolio. This executive role oversees accounting, reporting, budgeting, cash flow, and project financing for Houston-based projects.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in financial leadership within construction or real estate, with deep knowledge of job costing, WIP, capital structuring, and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
• Must have construction or real estate development industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, capital structuring, and project financing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all accounting and finance operations for Houston-based projects and entities.
• Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and capital funding strategies.
• Provide oversight of job costing, WIP schedules, cost controls, and project profitability analysis.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Partner with executive leadership on investment decisions, acquisitions, and development opportunities.
• Oversee audit, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and improve financial systems, internal controls, and operational efficiencies.
• Build, mentor, and lead the accounting/finance team.
