Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager who owns the market development, builds relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms, and drives proposals to signed testing and inspection work. You will work alongside a seller-doer engineer pricing the technical side; your job is the relationships, the pipeline, and the close.

Your compensation is a base salary plus commission on collected revenue from the accounts you develop, with no cap.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: forecastable and honest.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end; track permits, bid boards, and project announcements.
• Run the pursuit pipeline in CRM from first contact through proposal to signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with engineering: scope, pricing, qualifications; follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry events; report pipeline and results monthly.
