ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions in Plano, TX is seeking a skilled Billing Specialist II to manage complex billing for strategic accounts and construction projects. You will handle AIA billing, payment applications, retainage, and milestone invoicing while ensuring contract compliance and timely revenue recognition.

You will collaborate with PMO, Operations, Sales, and Accounting to optimize billing workflows, resolve variances, and maintain audit-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5+ years in construction, project, or strategic account billing.
• Advanced AIA and Pay Application experience required.
• Experience with construction contracts and project accounting.
• Strong contract interpretation skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• ERP experience required.
• Ability to independently manage complex billing portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Manage specialized billing for strategic accounts and construction projects, including AIA billing, payment applications, schedule of values, and milestone billing.
• Interpret contracts and billing requirements to ensure compliance and timely invoicing.
• Administer billing for Lump Sum, Fixed Price, Cost-Plus, Time & Material, and milestone-based contracts.
• Manage customer invoicing portals, lien waivers, releases, and compliance docs.
• Coordinate with PMO, Operations, Sales, and customers for billing readiness and milestones.
• Perform account reconciliations, research variances, and resolve disputes affecting invoicing and cash flow.
• Investigate and process credit memos, rebills, pricing discrepancies, and contract changes.
• Collaborate with AR and Cash Applications to resolve collection barriers and remittance issues.
• Monitor outstanding balances and address billing issues delaying payments.
• Identify revenue leakage risks and suggest corrective actions.
