Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is seeking a Billing Specialist II in Plano to manage specialized billing for strategic accounts and construction projects. You will work independently with PMO, Sales, Operations, and Accounts Receivable to ensure timely revenue recognition and accurate invoicing.

The role requires 3-5+ years in construction or strategic account billing, strong AIA/pay application experience, and advanced Excel/ERP skills.

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred in business or related field.
3-5+ years of construction billing, project billing, or strategic account billing experience.
Advanced AIA and Pay Application experience required.
Experience with construction contracts and project accounting.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; ERP experience.

Responsibilities

Manage specialized billing for strategic customer accounts and construction projects (AIA, payment apps, schedule of values, milestone billing, change orders, retainage).
Interpret contracts to ensure compliance, revenue recognition, and timely invoices.
Administer billing for Lump Sum, Fixed Price, Cost-Plus, Time & Materials, and milestone-based agreements.
Manage customer invoicing portals, lien waivers, releases, and compliance docs.
Coordinate with PMO, Operations, Sales, and customers for billing readiness and milestones.
Perform complex account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve disputes.
Process credit memos, rebills, pricing discrepancies, and contract Modifications per policy.
Collaborate with AR and Cash Applications to resolve collections and remittance issues.
Monitor outstanding balances and identify billing-related delays to cash flow.
Identify revenue leakage risks and suggest corrective actions.
