VEIT is a leading specialty contractor with nearly a century of experience. We seek a Project Manager/Estimator to bid and secure construction projects and manage them from start to finish, coordinating with clients, field, and office support.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in construction bidding and project management, with strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with construction bidding and project management software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; MS Teams desirable.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to manage scope, schedule, and costs.

Responsibilities

• Bid opportunities through client relationships, networking opportunities, postings, and other means.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients; pursue future opportunities.
• Estimate projects for bid submittals by reviewing plans and specs.
• Coordinate pre-construction meetings for awarded projects.
• Obtain necessary permits and licensing.
• Manage costs by tracking labor, equipment, and materials.
• Handle billing, payables, and receivables; ensure accurate invoicing.
• Meet EEO/DBE requirements and ensure safety and compliance.
• Communicate with owners/GCs to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Process change orders and adjust scope to maintain profitability.
