Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to bid and secure construction projects and then manage them from start to finish. Responsibilities include scheduling, cost containment, progress monitoring, compliance, and client contact.

The role emphasizes strong client relationships, accurate bidding, and effective coordination with field and office teams to meet safety, budget, and schedule goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 5 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency in construction bidding and project management software.
• Strong MS Office skills; MS Teams experience desirable but not required.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Pursues bid opportunities and develops competitive proposals.
• Maintains relationships with current and prospective clients.
• Estimates projects from plans/specs, prepares bid submittals.
• Coordinates pre-construction meetings and staffing needs.
• Obtains permits and manages project costs, billing, and cash flow.
• Ensures safety, scope control, and on-time completion.
• Negotiates change orders and communicates with owner/GC.
• Travel to project sites as needed (10%).
