Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking a Compensation Consultant for a 9-month contract to support job architecture, market analysis, annual merit and incentive programs across corporate, non-union, and skilled labor roles. You will partner with HR and senior leadership to deliver data-driven compensation solutions.

The role requires Hands-on compensation cycle and HRIS experience; Dayforce is an asset. A US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of dedicated compensation experience in a large, complex organization.
• Hands-on experience with job evaluation, job architecture, market benchmarking, merit cycles, incentive programs, and compensation analytics.
• Experience supporting corporate, non-union, blue-collar, and skilled labor populations.
• Strong knowledge of compensation principles, pay equity, pay transparency, salary structures, and regulatory compliance.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Experience with HRIS and compensation systems; Dayforce experience is an asset.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to advise HR partners and senior leaders.
• High attention to detail, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to confidentiality and data integrity.
• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation completed or in progress is strongly preferred.
• Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

Responsibilities

• Support job evaluation, job architecture, market pricing, and compensation analysis across diverse employee groups.
• Administer annual merit, incentive plans, and off-cycle compensation reviews, including forecasting, reporting, communications, and system support.
• Analyze market data, internal equity, financial impacts, and governance requirements to develop sound compensation recommendations.
• Prepare clear, data-driven insights, reports, cost models, and forecasts to support HR leaders, senior leadership, hiring, retention, and workforce planning decisions.
• Contribute to pay transparency, pay equity, compensation policy, process documentation, and governance initiatives.
• Provide guidance to HR partners and leaders on job leveling, market positioning, compensation programs, and policy interpretation.
• Participate in compensation projects and other initiatives as assigned.
