Masis Staffing Solutions is assisting our client in searching for a Compensation Consultant for a 6+ month project, hybrid and based in Auburn MA. This role will play a key part in evaluating, standardizing, and rewriting a large volume of job descriptions as part of a major organizational project.
Pay Rate: $60–$70/hour (based on experience)
Duration: 6+ months, with potential extension
Schedule:
- Now through June: Hybrid – 2 days onsite (Tuesday & Wednesday), 3 days remote
- Starting July: Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a large-scale job evaluation and job description development project across the organization
- Review, analyze, and rewrite job descriptions to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with compensation frameworks
- Partner with HR, business leaders, and subject matter experts to gather role information and validate job content
- Apply job architecture, leveling, and compensation principles to ensure internal equity and market alignment
- Ensure job documentation meets compliance, regulatory, and internal governance standards
- Provide guidance and recommendations on role scope, job leveling, and classification
- Manage deliverables and timelines in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in compensation, job architecture, or total rewards
- Proven experience leading or supporting large-volume job description projects
- Strong background in regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, medical manufacturing, chemical, or life sciences is a plus
- Deep knowledge of job evaluation methodologies, job leveling, and compensation structures
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent written communication skills with a strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with HRIS and job documentation tools
