Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, HR, business, public administration, or related field with 4–6 years of related experience.
• Classification and compensation experience in a local government setting is preferred.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license issued by Virginia.
• Comprehensive knowledge of job classification and compensation principles.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers the County’s job classification and compensation programs and pay plan.
• Conducts job evaluations, market surveys, salary analyses, and provides pay recommendations.
• Maintains classification data and supports budget processes related to pay changes.
• Configures salary imports for payroll and assists with compliance training.
• Prepares reports and maintains process documentation.
• Serves on HR committees as needed.
