Job summary

York County is seeking an experienced Compensation Analyst to develop, analyze, implement and administer the County’s job classification and pay plan. You will design compensation strategies, conduct market studies, and provide recommendations for pay structures and classifications.

You will also review job descriptions, monitor legal compliance, assist with budgeting, and prepare detailed reports. A bachelor’s degree with relevant experience is required, with professional certifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4 to 6 years of related experience in compensation or HR.
• Knowledge of job classification and compensation principles.
• Experience with market benchmarks and salary surveys.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer job classification and compensation programs to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
• Conduct job evaluations, market surveys, and salary analyses.
• Prepare reports and maintain classification and pay plan data.
• Advise department officials on compensation issues and compliance with laws and policies.
• Support budgeting processes related to position changes and salary increases.
