Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a Compensation Analyst to partner with academic, research and clinical leadership on pay decisions, job evaluation, and market benchmarking. You will gather data from compensation surveys, perform cost analyses, and support salary review processes to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.

A Bachelor's degree in HR/Business/Finance and 1 year of related experience are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or a related field.
One year of related experience required. Work experience may not substitute for education requirement.

Responsibilities

Provides guidance to assigned clients on pay decisions, policy interpretation, job evaluation processes and job description development.
Participates in and gathers data from general job market-based compensation surveys.
Uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assist in decision cost estimates, creating decision scenarios, reviewing job and employee equity and depicting job market trends.
Assists assigned clients in developing compensation and reward strategies that attract and retain talent.
Performs general salary reviews based on market-specific benchmarking to ensure internal and market competitiveness.
Manages the administration of HR processes, actions and procedures for assigned clients and compensation projects and/or initiatives.
Assists with special projects and analyses as requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.
