Job summary

University of Richmond is seeking a Compensation Consultant to lead compensation analysis, market pricing, and strategic compensation initiatives. The role partners with the Director of Compensation and HR stakeholders to support job evaluation, internal equity assessments, and pay policy implementation.

The successful candidate will perform market pricing, survey analyses, and salary administration, while contributing to trainings and process improvements within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of compensation experience.
• Workday experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Director of Compensation to administer and maintain compensation programs, policies, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform job analysis/evaluation to determine classification, level, salary range, and FLSA status.
• Provide compensation consultation on hiring, promotions, transfers, and pay actions using market data and internal equity.
• Conduct market pricing, internal equity, compression, and survey analyses to assess competitiveness and risks.
• Support annual salary and merit processes with data validation, modeling, and budgeting in collaboration with HR, Finance, and Budget and Planning.
• Develop compensation metrics and reporting, translating data into actionable insights for HR leadership.
