Apogee Architectural Metals seeks a Senior Communications Specialist to develop and execute strategic communications across the organization. You will translate business strategy into clear messages, collaborate with HR and leaders, and drive employee engagement through thoughtful content and channels.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer with strong judgment, business acumen, and ownership of communication outcomes from planning to execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive communications experience in a complex environment.
• Ability to translate direction and business info into clear communications.
• Experience creating content for multiple formats and channels (email, SharePoint, Teams, presentations, digital content).

Responsibilities

• Support senior leaders with messaging aligned to priorities and objectives.
• Translate executive direction into clear employee messaging, talking points, FAQs, and leader tools.
• Provide guidance to improve clarity, consistency, and audience relevance.
• Adapt messaging to leadership preferences and styles while maintaining quality.
• Develop and execute employee communication plans that build awareness and engagement.
• Write and edit executive messages, newsletters, SharePoint content, leadership updates, and stories.
• Coordinate content across channels (SharePoint, newsletters, websites, town halls, print, digital boards).
• Partner with HR, Operations, Marketing, IT and other leaders to align messages and delivery.
• Recommend improvements to standards, templates, and channel use.
