Job summary

The Department of Administration's Office of Strategic Communications seeks an experienced SCEIS Communications Director to join its team. This role develops, coordinates, and distributes communications across print and online platforms for the SC Enterprise Information Systems (SCEIS), empowering decision makers with timely information.

You will collaborate with technical and functional teams, leadership, and partners to deliver accurate messaging and high-impact communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, graphic design, mass communications, or English.
• Five years of experience in marketing, public relations or public information.
• Strong working knowledge of the AP Stylebook.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SCEIS Communications and collaborate to develop weekly update emails, announcements, web content, and presentations.
• Develop communications plans for projects and initiatives; ensure teams are aware of activities and feedback.
• Build relationships with SCEIS leadership, employees, users, customers and partners to deliver effective communications.
• Attend meetings to plan communications and evaluate ongoing needs.
• Oversee and manage the SCEIS website; coordinate content and updates based on system changes and user feedback.
