Job summary

MITER Brands is seeking a Commodity Manager to develop and execute broad commodity strategies for MITER Brands, managing 3-4 subcategories, and leading supplier negotiations for value and performance. This on-site role offers collaboration with engineering and product teams and requires travel.

The position is based in Tacoma, WA; Harrisburg, PA; or North Venice, FL, with 20-30% travel. Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years sourcing; CPM/CPIM/CSCP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
• CPM, CPIM or CSCP certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years’ sourcing experience working for a major, large dollar operation
• Minimum of 1 year at Senior Buyer level or Strategic Buyer level in manufacturing sector

Responsibilities

• Establish supplier relationships (strategic, critical or tactical)
• Maintain relationship with sustaining engineering & product management
• Lead commercial QBR's
• Conduct/analyze RFQ's
• Lead commercial negotiations
• Develop category-level strategies
• Monitor supplier performance
• Identify optimal terms across the enterprise
• Support product rationalization/harmonization efforts
