Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC is seeking a Global Commodity Manager to drive and execute global spend strategies for direct spend commodities at our Michigan City, IN plant. The role collaborates with site teams and global stakeholders to ensure best value across quality, service and cost while meeting supplier performance and risk targets.

The candidate will manage supplier relationships, lead negotiations, and apply strategic sourcing processes with tools including SAP.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or other relevant degree program; advanced degree preferred.
• 2–5 years commodity management experience in a global industrial equipment manufacturing environment.
• High level knowledge with SAP and analytical tools.
• Strong commercial negotiation and contract management experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsabilités

• Develop, align and implement commodity strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and address industry challenges.
• Maintain links with global stakeholders across brands, sites and supplier contacts.
• Establish relationships with key suppliers and drive quality, delivery and cost improvements.
• Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers.
• Monitor market conditions and develop category strategies with rigorous analytics.
• Support supplier reviews and performance criteria across cost, risk, stakeholder satisfaction, and delivery.
