Job summary

Dorman Products is seeking a results-driven Commodity Manager to lead sourcing across raw materials, components, and finished goods. The role partners with Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchasing to ensure reliable, cost-effective supply and to support aggressive product launch timelines.

Strong negotiation, market analysis, and supplier development experience are essential. Domestic and international travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in supply chain, business, engineering, operations management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, project management, or engineering.
• Demonstrated experience leading supplier negotiations and supplier development initiatives.
• Ability to solve problems, be resourceful, and adapt to changing business needs.
• Must manage multiple projects and communicate via phone, Teams, Zoom, etc.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Preferred: experience with metals, machined parts, electronics, or finished goods, and knowledge of global sourcing/practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodities and finished goods categories.
• Lead supplier negotiations, contracts, lead times, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Identify and develop domestic and international suppliers; manage supplier audits and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchasing on sourcing decisions.
• Support product launches with timely supplier selection and sourcing activities.
• Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
