Job summary

Acrisure is seeking a Commercial Lines Placement Specialist to manage and execute new business and renewal processes for small commercial insurance accounts. You will oversee timelines, perform exposure and financial analysis, prepare quote specifications, and submit applications to carriers’ portals.

You will negotiate coverage terms, present proposals, and coordinate with Client Advisors and Account Service teams to optimize placement outcomes.

Qualifications

• Excellent phone etiquette, written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong critical thinking, financial analysis, and negotiation skills with the ability to analyze complex market data and influence placement outcomes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced knowledge of Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Maintain timeline and process during new business and renewal, including exposure analysis and coverage proposals.
• Create and execute market strategies for select accounts based on risk and market analysis.
• Exercise independent judgment in accepting placements with alternative carriers.
• Communicate effectively within the team and with markets; collaborate on marketing strategy and outcomes.
• Review policies and contracts; make recommendations for improvement.
• Prepare insurance submissions including ACORD applications, loss summaries, and exposure schedules.
• Maintain relationships with carriers and stay informed on carrier appetites and market trends.
• Handle confidential information.
• Utilize rating tools and carrier systems to support quoting and proposal development.
• Adhere to licensing requirements and pursue ongoing professional development.
• Perform coverage gap analysis and deliver strategic recommendations for clients.
• Work on special projects independently or in teams.
