Job summary

Acrisure is seeking an experienced Insurance Placement Specialist to manage and execute key components of new business and renewal processes for commercial accounts. You will oversee timelines, exposure and financial analysis, and negotiate coverage terms to deliver comprehensive proposals.

You will strategize placement approaches for complex accounts, including large deductibles and captive structures, and collaborate with client teams and carriers to achieve optimal risk transfer solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant insurance experience, with emphasis on mid-to-large commercial account placements.
• Excellent phone etiquette, written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong critical thinking, financial analysis, and negotiation skills with ability to analyze market data and influence outcomes.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Must hold an applicable insurance license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain timelines and processes during new business and renewal cycles, including exposure analysis and negotiation of coverage offers.
• Develop marketing strategies for select accounts based on risk characteristics and market analysis.
• Evaluate alternative risk financing mechanisms such as large deductible programs and captives.
• Structure coverage towers to provide higher limits beyond standard primary policies.
• Exercise independent judgment in placement with alternative carriers, balancing client needs with market conditions.
• Conduct year-end reviews to assess placement performance and renewal strategy.
• Prepare submissions with insurance specifications, ACORD applications, loss summaries, and exposure schedules.
• Analyze client exposure data and build financial models for loss-sensitive programs when needed.
• Maintain relationships with carriers and markets, and stay informed of appetite and trends.
