Job summary

Comparion Insurance Agency in Worcester, MA is seeking a Commercial Insurance Specialist to prospect, quote, and write small commercial business. You will consult with clients, assess protection needs, and coordinate with multiple carriers to place and renew policies.

You will develop new business, nurture relationships with referring agents, and deliver exceptional service across endorsements and renewals.

Qualifications

• Familiar with small commercial products (BOP, GL, property, commercial auto, workers’ comp, cyber, umbrella, bonds).
• Experience sourcing new business and driving top-of-funnel leads.
• Experience using agency management systems and comparative raters.
• Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• P&C license or progress toward it; expected to obtain licenses after hire.

Responsibilities

• Source and develop new small commercial accounts (revenues under $10M) via prospecting, referrals, networking, and inbound leads.
• Counsel prospects and policyholders on protection and coverage needs; tailor solutions.
• Prepare and present quotes by obtaining quotes from multiple carriers; use rating platforms.
• Meet targets for new business volume and cross-sell opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal partners to deliver excellent customer experience.
• Build relationships with referring agents to generate COI/lead streams.
• Provide timely service for endorsements, cancellations, audits, and claims liaison.
