Job summary

Bank of Hawaii is seeking a Credit Analyst who partners with the Primary Relationship Officer to structure deals and evaluate financial risks for business clients. The role supports credit decisions under supervision of the Manager or Team Lead.

The ideal candidate has solid credit experience, strong financial statement analysis skills, and proficiency with MS Office and bank systems; willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in business or related field, or equivalent business and/or credit work experience.
• Level I: 2–3 years of commercial credit experience; Level II: 4–5 years; Level III: 5–6 years; Level IV: 7–9 years.
• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, including applicability to cash flow lending.
• Proficient with MS Office and bank software; strong worksheet and database skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Credit Memorandum packages and summaries for credit decisions.
• Structure credit facilities and determine covenants in line with Bank policy.
• Monitor client financial condition via financial statements and covenant compliance.
• Provide input on client risk ratings and assist with overdraft decisions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
