Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Commercial Counsel for the Supply Chain team in Washington, DC. You will enable procurement of critical goods and services by providing legal review and counseling to Supply Chain, Purchasing, Facilities, and other partners on complex issues, in the United States and internationally.

Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, mitigating risk, and advising across the procurement lifecycle while improving policies and exploring

Qualifications

• JD or foreign equivalent from an accredited law school.
• 5+ years of legal experience.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and review commercial contracts (purchase orders, service, license, NDAs).
• Identify and mitigate legal risk with processes, trainings, and controls.
• Provide legal analyses of applicable laws, regulations, and industry practices related to procurement.
• Counsel across procurement lifecycle: RFPs, RFQs, purchase agreements, license agreements and disputes.
• Manage SpaceX's form Purchase Order and Standard Terms & Conditions.
• Support improvements of forms, policies, and processes; explore AI/tools to boost efficiency.
• Work cross-functionally to analyze risks and build trusted advisor relationships.
