SpaceX in Washington, DC, seeks a Commercial Counsel to enable procurement of goods and services across Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Facilities. You will provide solutions-based legal advice on contracts, risk management, and regulatory issues for near-term and international procurement.

The role requires JD or equivalent and 5+ years of legal experience, with onsite work in Washington, DC. Experience with international transactions and corporate procurement is highly valued.

Qualifications

• JD or foreign equivalent from an accredited law school.
• 5+ years of legal experience.
• Experience advising on commercial procurement transactions, including international transactions, is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Draft, negotiate, and review commercial contracts (purchase orders/agreements, service agreements, license agreements, long-term supply agreements, NDAs).
• Identify and mitigate legal risk by implementing processes, trainings, and controls for supported teams.
• Provide legal analyses of applicable laws and industry practices in procurement of goods and services.
• Counsel across procurement lifecycle (RFPs, RFQs, purchase agreements, licenses, disputes).
• Manage SpaceX’s form Purchase Order and Standard Terms and Conditions.
• Support improvements of forms, policies, and processes, including AI-driven efficiency.
