Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Commercial Counsel for Supply Chain to enable procurement of critical goods and services. You will provide legal review and counseling to SpaceX’s Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Facilities teams in the United States and internationally.

You will draft, negotiate, and review a range of commercial contracts, identify legal risks, and support procurement lifecycle from RFPs to dispute resolution. This role is based in Washington, DC and onsite.

Qualifications

• JD or foreign equivalent from an accredited law school.
• 5+ years of legal experience in procurement or related field.
• Experience providing legal advice on commercial procurement transactions, including international transactions.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and review commercial contracts related to procurement and supply.
• Identify and mitigate legal risk; implement processes and controls for supported teams.
• Provide legal analyses of applicable laws, regulations, and industry practices in procurement.
• Counsel across the procurement lifecycle including RFPs, RFQs, and disputes.
• Manage SpaceX’s form Purchase Order and Standard Terms and Conditions.
