Job summary

Brex is seeking a Commercial Counsel to support all aspects of the company's commercial legal efforts. You will draft and negotiate customer agreements and various inbound contracts, partnering with sales, deal desk, and other revenue teams to close deals efficiently while protecting Brex's interests.

You will also advise on contract terms, risks, and opportunities, and help refine contracting playbooks and workflows across cross-functional partners, including procurement, privacy, and security.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in commercial law.
• JD and active bar membership in good standing.
• Experience at fast-paced technology companies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate customer agreements, in partnership with sales and deal desk.
• Support the negotiation of a wide variety of inbound commercial contracts, including AI, SaaS, and tech agreements.
• Drive improvements to contracting processes, playbooks, and CLM workflows.
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks within established parameters and escalate as needed.
• Provide business-focused legal advice on contract terms and deal structures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear legal terms.
• Be a true business partner, not just an attorney.
