Job summary

Brivo, Inc. in Austin seeks a Legal Counsel to lead the company’s contracting function and accelerate complex commercial deals.

Reporting to the CFO, you will draft, redline, and close high-volume contracts including Enterprise SaaS and hardware agreements, with a strong focus on AI-related terms. You will collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering to clear contractual friction, ensure compliance with evolving AI regulations and data privacy standards, and protect Brivo’s IP while

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited US law school with active bar membership.
• 4–7 years of commercial legal experience, ideally in tech.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS, IoT/hardware, and AI product commercialization.
• Strong understanding of data rights, IP ownership, and AI-related contract terms.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate high-volume commercial agreements including Enterprise SaaS and hardware.
• Structure AI deal terms: data ingestion rights, model training, IP ownership.
• Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering to reduce contract friction.
• Ensure alignment with evolving AI regulations and data privacy standards.
• Maintain playbooks for AI risks and indemnities.
