Job summary

Deploy is seeking a Senior Counsel, Commercial to lead complex agreements, advise on privacy and regulatory matters, and support the legal function in a fast-growing AI company. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams and reports to the General Counsel in San Francisco.

You will draft and negotiate master service agreements and data/technology licenses, while driving policy improvements and scalable processes that enable growth and responsible innovation in the AI space.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited school; active California bar in good standing.
• 7+ years of relevant legal experience, with tech industry exposure preferred.
• Experience with commercial technology transactions (SaaS, data licensing) with large companies.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills; attention to detail.
• Strong communication and ability to collaborate with internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and review a broad range of commercial contracts including MSAs and data/tech licenses
• Provide analyses of laws and guidance in privacy and AI areas
• Improve forms, policies, and processes to streamline deals
• Collaborate across functions to assess legal risks and advise senior management
• Assist General Counsel with additional corporate matters
