Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Typically a minimum four years of relevant experience, preferably in claim handling.
• CNA Claim Training Program candidates may be considered after 2 years of claim handling experience.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire.
• Professional designations such as CPCU are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of moderate to high complexity commercial claims following company protocols.
• Provide exceptional customer service to insureds, claimants and business partners.
• Verify coverage and establish reserves by reviewing policy language and coordinating with counsel.
• Conduct focused investigations to determine compensability and damages.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external partners to resolve claims.
• Authorize and ensure claim disbursements within authority limits.
• Contribute to expense management by timely and accurate resolution of claims.
• Identify subrogation opportunities or potential fraud and refer as needed.
• Maintain compliance with state/local regulatory requirements and CNA guidelines.
