Job summary

SOUTHSTATE BANK, NATIONAL ASSOCIATION is seeking a seasoned commercial lender in Nashville to grow loan and deposit portfolios by developing consultative client relationships and underwriting transactions per policy.

The role requires extensive credit analysis, knowledge of banking products, and strong collaboration with Treasury, Capital Markets, Wealth, and Retail teams to deliver tailored solutions.

Qualifications

• Education: a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, banking, or related field required.
• Experience: minimum of 10+ years commercial lending experience, including loan structuring and credit analysis responsibilities.
• Certifications/Knowledge: extensive knowledge of Bank products, lending regulations, and local business community preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in a business development plan to grow loan and deposit portfolio for commercial clients.
• Develop consultative relationships with prospects to deliver banking solutions.
• Underwrite loan requests per Bank policies and obtain credit approvals.
• Price loans and deposits per current Bank pricing guidelines.
• Maintain loan portfolio and ensure documentation is complete and compliant.
• Build positive relationships with COIs and community to enhance Bank image.
