Job summary

LHH is seeking a Collections Specialist to join its accounting and finance team in the United States. The role focuses on managing an assigned portfolio of customer accounts, driving timely payment collection, reducing past-due balances, and sustaining positive customer relationships.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication, sound judgment, and the ability to balance collections activities with customer service while complying with regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of collections, accounts receivable, customer service, or related experience.
• Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and collection practices.
• Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or billing systems is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of commercial and consumer accounts to improve cash flow and reduce delinquent balances.
• Conduct high-volume outbound collection efforts through phone and email communications.
• Follow up on past-due invoices and document all collection activities in company systems.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve account disputes and ensure timely resolution.
• Negotiate payment arrangements within established company guidelines.
• Monitor aging reports and work to reduce balances in 30, 60, and 90+ day categories.
