Job summary

Rapid Finance seeks a Collections Specialist to join our Bethesda office. You will investigate delinquent client accounts, negotiate settlements, and cure breaches while building rapport with merchants and customers.

You will need strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and experience with credit/debt collection within a financial services environment. Training may occur at the corporate office for the first month.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 3+ years in credit/debt collection or sales.
• Experience in financial services or banking is preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate delinquent accounts and determine reasons for non-payment.
• Negotiate settlement options and arrange payment schedules.
• Communicate with merchants and customers to resolve disputes.
• Document conversations and outcomes in account records.
• Assess accounts for potential legal action when appropriate.
