Reach Financial, LLC in New York, NY is seeking a Collections Specialist to support early-stage delinquency and prevention of charge-offs. You will engage customers across phone, SMS, and email to negotiate payment plans and hardship options while upholding regulatory and policy standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of two years related experience in Loss Mitigation, Debt Settlement, Debt Consolidation, Loan Servicing or Consumer Collections.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of loan concepts such as amortization, interest accruals & account reconciliation.
• Experience negotiating Forbearance Agreements and Loan Modification Agreements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).

Responsibilities

• Operate in compliance with regulations, policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Manage delinquent accounts to prevent progression and charge-offs.
• Negotiate payment arrangements, split plans, deferments, and other hardship solutions to restore accounts.
• Evaluate hardship requests by gathering financial information and determining appropriate options.
• Handle inbound/outbound calls, SMS, and email in a blended environment.
• Document all interactions and commitments in CRM with accuracy.
• Maintain knowledge of Reach Financial loan products, policies, and hardship programs.
• Support portfolio performance goals including delinquency prevention and overall customer experience.
