Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Collections Specialist to drive proactive accounts receivable collection efforts and improve cash flow.

You will work with clients, Operations, and Finance to resolve payment barriers, pursue timely payments, and maintain professional relationships while balancing assertive collection activities. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in commercial collections, strong Excel and ERP skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• > Education/Experience: Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• > 2–4 years of progressive experience in commercial collections, accounts receivable management, or related financial operations.
• > Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• > Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• > Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• > Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
• > Experience resolving contract, billing, and collection disputes.

Responsibilities

• Actively pursue collection of outstanding accounts receivable balances for assigned clients and portfolios.
• Conduct timely collection calls, emails, and written correspondence regarding open invoices and past-due balances.
• Prioritize collection activity based on aging, value, risk, and disputes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all collection activity and commitments.
• Escalate high-risk accounts with clear recommendations and history.
• Support cash flow objectives with follow-up and measurable progress on targets.
• Collaborate with Operations and Finance to resolve payment barriers and missing information.
• Gather information related to disputed invoices, billing questions, or project concerns.
• Provide project teams with due dates and follow-up expectations for timely resolution.
• Identify recurring issues and suggest process improvements for billing and communication.
