Job summary

Amazon seeks a Principal Solutions Architect to guide a global technology customer through cloud transformation and to set technical strategy that drives measurable business outcomes.

You will design large-scale architectures, mentor other architects, and collaborate with executive leadership to align technology with business goals. This role requires independent leadership in ambiguous environments and strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
• Experience developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing.
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive technical strategy for a global technology customer, influencing their long-term business and technology decisions by demonstrating how adopting new technological capabilities can impact their business outcomes.
• Design and deliver large-scale architectures and technical solutions that solve significantly complex problems, creating new patterns and methodologies that can be leveraged across the organization.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to customer leadership, asking strategic questions they aren't asking themselves and guiding them through technology transformation journeys.
• Lead cross-organizational initiatives requiring consensus and collaboration among many teams for successful solution delivery, effectively influencing and force-multiplying.
• Mentor other Solutions Architects, sharing expertise and best practices while fostering growth and development within the team
