Job summary

Mercedes-Benz USA is seeking an Advisor, Software Architect to lead strategic architectural efforts across cloud and data center environments. You will unify architecture, engineering, security and operations to deliver end-to-end infrastructure solutions, strengthen observability, and ensure platform reliability.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Development, Platform Engineering, Architecture and business stakeholders to drive high-quality, scalable infrastructure and enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or MIS.
• Experience with SRE principles and reliability engineering.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Knowledge of observability tools (Datadog, Splunk, AppDynamics).
• Proficient in DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional architectural guidance for cloud, cybersecurity, and reliability initiatives.
• Define and track SLOs/SLIs and performance metrics.
• Embed reliability into platform design and incident response processes.
• Provide architectural leadership during major incidents and RCA efforts.
• Drive DevOps tooling adoption, IaC, and automated deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure cohesive delivery of infrastructure solutions.
